Data Visualisation
The first one is based on earthquake as the background, information visualisation as the theme, and show my work in 2d and 3d styles. My inspiration came from the Wenchuan earthquake in the past few years. At that time, I came to the hard-hit area as a volunteer to carry out logistics work. I still can’t forget the visual impact when I saw the scene at that time, so I thought Through this work, we will improve everyone’s prevention of earthquakes and advocate that more and more people can participate in the volunteer team to help more people.
The three pictures above are to express the result of a 2D to 3D. The whole work I use yellow and orange as the main colours to indicate different magnitudes and distances, and in the video is a 3d sphere passing through the thickness of the column. And the length to indicate the magnitude and distance, plus interactive functions such as mouse drag and automatic rotation.
Graphic Narratives
The second is a work that uses different payment methods in different periods as the main timeline and is presented through dynamic charts and ae animations. I also chose four types of payment methods: barter, cash, mobile payment and Biometric payment technology correspond to the four pictures above. And this work is inspired by today’s high-tech era, and is full of various “revolutions”. Will the replacement of old things by new ones bring benefits to humans or cannibalise human brains and bring harm to society.I also used Adobe After Effects to export mp4 to show the entire payment method "revolution" process, as well as a summary of the information that can be represented at each point in time and a detailed introduction of the main leaders
